The venue is a running business and the shoot had a very narrow time frame, arriving a few hours before the talent, we ensured everything is ready to go and there is no delays.
With the lighting setup to bring attention to the main talent, the next challenge was how will we illustrate different times of day. During wardrobe changes, we experimented by adjusting camera settings and intensity of the light sources to either darken the background or brighten the overall scene to simulate day or night.
During post-production the hardest challenge was the transitions, having to align the talents from shot to shot using visual effects, dropping in the new props and show the passage of time. With rotoscoping(cutting out the talent) and some matte painting behind the talents, we could animate the talents to transition more seamlessly.
